In case you want/need to access your cameras remotely, you will need to have static IP address. There are several ways how to get it. You can ask your ISP to change your dynamic IP address to the static one (usually paid feature) OR you can use any of free Dynamic Domain Name Systems (DDNS).

Angelcam is partnering with No-IP.com, so let's use them as an example.

Step 1: Get the dynamic DNS hostname. See how to get one with No-IP.com or sign-up to No-IP service right away.

Step 2: Login to your camera administration (see how) using the local IP address.

Step 3: Find and click on the "Network" section. Please mind there are lots of camera brands & camera models & different FW versions and each of them might have this section on different place or even called differently. Be patient and search for it 🙂.

Step 4: First click on "DDNS" and then "enable" this function. There usually is a dropdown with multiple dynamic DNS providers. Select the one that suits you the best - we recommend No-IP.com.

Step 5: As a next step you will need to fill in:

  • Domain/DDNS host: Enter the hostname you created with dynamic DNS provider (i.e. example.ddns.net)

  • Username: It usually is your email address or username associated with your dynamic DNS provider.

  • Password: Enter your password associated with your username.

See how to setup DDNS in Hikvision camera, Dahua camera, Foscam camera.

Step 6: Scroll down and "Save".
