Delays in your live stream can be a nuisance. Most of the time, these delays are caused by:

  • High-resolution feed and/or bitrate

  • Insufficient bandwidth

  • The keyframe value is too high

Angelcam, by default, attempts to open up some of your bandwidth by connecting to your camera only when the stream is requested by someone. Usually, this process takes a few seconds to establish a connection to the camera, pull the stream onto our platform, and then provide the stream.

While this may be a good means of saving bandwidth, the delay could be significantly reduced if Angelcam were to maintain a permanent connection with your camera. To create this connection, simply activate the Cloud Storage App for your camera and Angelcam will maintain a permanent connection with your camera, reducing your delay.
