Q1: What is Angelcam?

Angelcam is an online host for streaming and storing compatible cameras and VR system footage to the cloud. Our platform offers an easy method of viewing and reviewing your recorded footage from anywhere in the world via our website or mobile app.

Q2: What is needed to use your service?

You’ll simply need a compatible camera or VR system and a stable internet connection.

Q3: Is my camera or VR system compatible?

Angelcam only requires that your device is RTSP stream capable using H.264 encoding OR HTTP stream capable using MJPEG encoding. If it supports either of those stream types it should work. 

Q4: Is it free?

Angelcam offers free live streaming of connected cameras. Fees are not incurred until a service, such as cloud recording, is activated. 

Q5: How many cameras can I connect to Angelcam?

There is no limit to the number of cameras added to an Angelcam account. 

Q6: How much video footage can I store?

Video storage is based on the retention period selected. Angelcam offers numerous cloud storage retention periods.

Q7: Is there a limit to the resolution size that can be used?

There is no limit to the resolution size or quality. 

Q8: Can I upload recorded data from my VR system?

No, recording is based on the live stream from the camera. Angelcam does not store data uploaded from another storage device.

Q9: Can I record only when motion is detected?

Currently Angelcam does not offer motion-detected based recording. Our services are based on 24/7 recording.

Q10: How do I activate cloud recording?

To activate the cloud recording service simply connect a camera (or cameras) to your account and click the cloud recording icon that is located under each camera stream. Upon clicking the cloud recording icon you can then select the desired retention plan and make payment. 

Q11: How do I view recorded footage? 

To view recorded footage ensure that you have cloud recording activated. If activated click the red cloud recording icon underneath the camera stream from your account. Next simply scrub back through available recorded footage or enter a date and time to auto-navigate to the desired event.

Q12: What payment methods are available for Angelcam services? 

Payments can be made using a credit card or PayPal account. 

Q13: What are the contract terms of service?

Angelcam offers both monthly or yearly payment plans.

Q14: Is it possible to try out the service before committing to a subscription?

Yes. Angelcam offers a 30-day trial for our 3-day mini retention plan. Users have the ability to cancel the auto-renew feature at any time.

Q15: Can I change my cloud recording plan to another? 

Yes, when you switch your recording plan we automatically prorate the amount of any price difference. 

Q16: Can other people view my recorded footage?

Yes, Angelcam offers the ability to share your recorded footage with other Angelcam accounts. 

Q17: Is it possible to save footage for later use?

Yes. Clips up to three hours (max) in length can be created and downloaded for later use. 

Q18: Is there a limit to the number of clips that can be created?

No. Currently there is no limit to the amount of clips that can be created. All clips are stored indefinitely on the account and remain accessible even if the cloud recording service is cancelled.
