If Cloud Recording is on for a camera, you can play back its recorded video in My Angelcam and in the Angelcam mobile app, and save the parts you need as clips.
Before you start
The camera needs an active Cloud Recording service. See How to activate Cloud Recording or Broadcasting app on your camera. How far back you can go depends on the retention period of your plan, which you can see on the camera's Timeline page.
Play back recordings in My Angelcam
Click Locations at the top, select your location and open the Cameras tab.
Click the Cloud recording icon under the camera. This opens the camera's Timeline page.
Click a point on the timeline under the video to play the recording from that time. Use Go to to jump to a specific date and time, and Go live to return to the live stream.
The controls under the timeline:
Events: show events on the timeline and jump to the previous or next event with the arrows.
Speed: play the recording at 1x, 2x, 4x or 8x. Fast playback needs a fast connection, see Why fast playback (2×, 4×, 8×) may stutter.
Zoom: zoom the timeline in or out.
💡 Blue on the timeline means a recording is available, red means there's no recording for that time, and yellow means the recording is still being processed. See Why are there gaps in my recording?
Save, download and share a clip
Recordings are kept only for your retention period. To keep part of a recording longer, or to download or share it, save it as a clip.
On the camera's Timeline page, click Create clip.
Drag the two handles on the timeline to mark the start and end of the clip, or fill in Clip start and Clip end. Give the clip a name.
Click Create clip. Processing can take a few minutes, depending on the length of the clip.
You'll find your clips under Clips in the camera's left menu. Each clip has buttons to download, rename, share and delete it. For how much space clips can use, see Clip Storage. If a clip can't be created, see Solutions to common problems about clip creation.
View recordings in the mobile app
You can also browse recordings in the Angelcam mobile app for Android and iOS. Open the camera in the app and use the timeline under the video. See How do our mobile apps work?
